Challenge: A soon-to-be mother of 3 needs to transform a baby room from boy to girl without removing the existing blue wallpaper or replacing the white and brown crib set.
Classic baby boy nursery.
Starting with a fuchsia over-dyed rug as the focal point, the predominantly blue room was transformed into a pretty and eclectic girl room by adding pops of pink, gold and crystal accents. The existing custom furniture was updated with a fresh coat of white paint and crystal knobs.
The charcoal glider is outfitted with a pink throw and a pretty blush pillow. A braided pouf adds texture and makes a comfy footrest.
The huge window is outfitted with pretty grey and white matching drapes and valance. The simple white shade is swapped out for a pretty crystal chandelier, adding a touch of luxe to the room.
The inside of the existing white bookshelf is wallpapered with a subtle tone on tone floral print. Pretty picture frames and accessories fill the upper shelves, while the lower shelves are used for books and toys. Grey and white ikat baskets on the bottom shelf keep the small toys together and tidy!
The freshly painted changing table/dresser gets new crystal knobs and a white and gold woven basket to corral baby changing paraphernalia.
Above the crib: gold foil animal prints.
