An earthy, minimalistic space for a young family.
Unfinished and mismatched: the open-concept living/dining room were missing key elements to make them look put together and homey. The oversized presentation box (left from the previous owner) needed a more substantial piece of art to create an impact.
The key missing pieces were placed: media unit, area rug and coffee table. To polish it off a few simple accessories were added.
A gallery of frames and abstract art creates impact on a large empty wall in the hallway. In the entrance, a console table is a convenient place to drop keys and parcels. Drum style stools are easily accessible to grab a seat when putting on shoes. Various textures are layered in to add interest.
